Oct. 12 - Arrive Beijing: Welcome to China! Upon arrival in Beijing, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your own leisure until reuniting for our “Welcome dinner & orientation. (Asia Jinjiang Hotel - D)

Oct. 13 - Beijing: After breakfast, visit Tiananmen Square is one of the oldest and largest city squares in the world, followed by a visit to Forbidden City and go on a journey back in time as you walk down its red-walled alleys, through its magnificent courtyards and intricate interiors, and along the serene moat that rings the city with green.  Transfer to Hutong for an authentic lunch in local family home.  In the afternoon, explore Beijing’s historic Hutongs on traditional pedicab.  Enjoy the evening at your own leisure. (Asia Jinjiang Hotel - B&L)

Oct. 14 - Beijing: After breakfast, visit the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall.  Enjoy lunch at foot of the wall.  Transfer back to the city in the afternoon.  Enjoy the evening at your own leisure. (Asia Jinjiang Hotel - B&L)

Oct. 15 - Beijing: After breakfast, Learn to calm your body and settle your mind with a taichi lesson at the peaceful Temple of Heaven Park. The park is also home to pristine examples of traditional Chinese architecture, like the colorfully ornate Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest. In the afternoon, make your visit to locally famous antique market: Panjiayuan Market.  Enjoy the evening at your own leisure. (Asia Jinjiang Hotel - B&L)

Oct. 16 - Beijing to Xi'an: After breakfast, transfer to airport to catch your suggested flight CA1209 (10:20/12:30) to Xi’an.  Upon arrival in Xi’an, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel to check-in and refresh.  In the afternoon visit Xian's City Wall, which is one of the largest, oldest and most intact ancient walls in the world. Enjoy the city view at the wall over a biking tour.  Spend the evening at your own leisure. (Grand Park Hotel Xi'an - B)

Oct. 17 - Xi'an: After breakfast, set out to drive to Terracotta Warriors for around 1 hour.  Tour through one of the world’s greatest archaeological finds: an entire army, from foot soldiers to cavalry and generals, recreated 2,200 years ago as lifelike, life-sized and individually unique clay statues.  Tansfer back to the city, visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which is not as small, wild, or goose-like as the name would have it. Rather, it is one of Xian’s most famous and oldest Buddhist pagodas, which now is a part of Xian Museum. The pagoda, built more than 1,300 years ago, is remarkably preserved and still accessible. Oct. 18 - Xi'an: After breakfast, make your visit to the famous Mosque followed by Muslim Quarter and Yongxingfang Food Street, spend the afternoon at your own leisure. (Grand Park Hotel Xi'an - B&L)

Oct. 19 - Xi'an to Chengdu: After breakfast, transfer to high speed train to catch your train to Chengdu (approx. 3 hrs).  Upon arrival in Chengdu, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel to check-in.  In the afternoon, take a walking tour of Kuanzhaixiangzi Alley, the last remaining part of Shaocheng City before it was absorbed into Chengdu. Kuanzhaixiangzi Alley dates back to the Qing Dynasty, when it was used to quarter troops. Now, it’s a cultural hub that reminds visitors and locals alike of Chengdu’s long past.  Spend the evening at your own leisure, we recommend you experiencing face-changing performance over dinner (excluded in land cost). (Sofitel Chengdu - B)

Oct. 20 - Chengdu: After breakfast, visit the region’s most famous inhabitants at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. This non-profit organization is a world leader in the research, breeding and conservation of endangered pandas. The base currently houses more than 80 residents, and one of their panda keepers will teach you all about panda health, behavior, and the breeding program at the center. (Sofitel Chengdu - B&L)

Oct. 21 - Chengdu: After breakfast, transfer to Mt. Leshan. Take in the colossal Leshan Giant Buddha, carved out of a riverside cliff almost two thousand years ago, where it sits 71-metres high, nestled in an overgrown nook, casting a red stone stoic expression over tranquil waters. Spend the evening at your own leisure. (Sofitel Chengdu - B&L)

Oct. 22 - Chengdu - Shanghai: After breakfast, time at leisure in Chengdu before we drive to airport for flight to Shanghai. Transfer to hotel and spend the evening at your own leisure. (Renaissance Yuyuan Garden Hotel - B)

Oct. 23 - Shanghai: After breakfast, visit The Bund followed by Yu Garden, Yu Garden is heavily influenced by classical Suzhou garden design.  In the afternoon, take a walk at Former French Concession's tree-covered avenues connect Shanghai's colonial past to modern, cultural atmosphere.  Enjoy the late afternoon at your own leisure before enjoying an Acrobatic Show in the local theatre in the evening. (Renaissance Yuyuan Garden Hotel - B&L)

Oct. 24 - Zhujiajiao Day Tour: After breakfast, set out to drive to Zhujiajiao.  Zhujiajiao's Water Town emerald canals are great for a  traditional sampan ride (6 pax sharing one boat) through the town's 1,700 year history. Pass under old stone bridges, antique wooden balconies and explore historical sites like Kezhi Garden, a unique mix of Chinese and Western landscaping, Tongtianhe Chinese Pharmacy, the Great Qing Dynasty Post Office and the Humanistic Museum. (Renaissance Yuyuan Garden Hotel - B&L)

Oct. 25 - Shanghai: Today you can explore Shanghai at your own leisure. (Renaissance Yuyuan Garden Hotel - B)

Oct. 26 - Depart Shanghai: After breakfast, transfer to airport to catch your departure flight. (B)
