Mar. 29 & 30 - SANTIAGO: Land in Santiago in the morning. Rooms are avialable for early check-in. Relax on Mar. 29, then go on a guided half-day city tour with lunch on Mar. 30. (Hotel Ladera, 2 nts + early check-in, 2B, 1L)

Mar. 31 - ANTOFAGASTA: Fly to Antofagasta, gateway to the desert of northern Chile. Visit Paranal Observatory to see the most advanced telescope in the world. Get right inside the VLT (Very Large Telescope); see the giant mirrors.  (1 nt - Hotel del Desierto, B, L)

Apr. 1, 2 & 3 - SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA: Drive into the driest desert in the world. The skies of Atacama are among the clearest in the world allowing unparalleled obsevation of the night sky. Discover the geological wonders that include mountain ranges, dry salt lake beds, small lakes and volcanoes, and unique flor and fauna. (Explora Atacama, 3 nts, 3B, 3L, 3D, drinks/local brands, activities)

Apr. 4 - SANTIAGO: Fly back to Santiago. Visit the Observatorio Astronomico Andino. Observe different nebulae, the moon, some distant galaxies, with different telescopes. (Hotel Ladera, 1 nt, B)

Apr. 5 & 6 - WINELANDS OF CASABLANCA VALLEY: Drive to the coastal city of Valparaiso, a World Heritage Site. Visit the home-museum of the Nobel Prize winning poet Pablo Naruda. (Casona Matetic, 2 nts, fully inclusive)

Apr. 7 - HOMEWARD: At an appropriate time we return to Santiago airport to check in for your flights.(B)
