Anne Wolever entered the travel industry in 1988 inspired by her travels around the world. As Product Manager at Civilized Adventures, Anne draws on her rich travel background (that now includes journeys to over 60 countries) when developing new trips and redesigning old favourites. She is currently working on growing our list of Tailored Civilized Adventures and Locally Guided Adventures, as well as editing our newsletter, and creating our informative Trip Handbooks.

Travel highlights include trekking the Inca Trail (both the long and short versions), climbing Kilimanjaro, sailing to the Antarctic and from Greenland to Resolute, and being on safari at various times in Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Malawi and East Africa. Since visiting Vietnam in 2001, Anne has returned to the area many times both on personal journeys and hosting Civilized Adventures' groups (Feb '07, Sept. '08, Oct. '10). Anne hosted a group of adventurers into the intriguing wilderness of Borneo in Oct. '03, another of her favourite places. She joined our Royal Astronomical Society of Canada groups that witnessed total solar eclipses in Turkey (Mar. '06) and in northern China (Jul/Aug '08).

Most recently: In June 2011, Anne was on safari in South Luangwa National Park in Zambia to experience walking safaris with some of the best guides in Africa...and staying in some of the most amazing small camps (called "bushcamps"). She also went to Kenya to inspect camps in Tsavo, Amboseli and the Mara that we are introducing into our 3 Paw Kenya/Tanzania safaris.
