Barb’s 27 years of experience working with animals at the Calgary Zoo has infused her with a passion for seeing these animals in the wild and fully experiencing their natural habitats. Barb’s extensive travels have taken her all over the world (to over 44 countries on 6 continents) and have allowed her the opportunity to experience nature at its best... from game watching in Africa, pursuing Rhinos on foot in Java and Nepal, jungle trekking in Borneo, Thailand, and the Amazon, to swimming with Sea Lions in the Galapagos and experiencing the history of China. Barb has worked on various volunteer projects, including a month in India, hurricane relieve in Mississippi, and teaching English in Ukraine. Barb has led many trips for the Calgary Zoo into Kenya, China, and several trips to both Peru & Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. Barb is a fun-loving, adventurous, and attentive host, and she looks forward to sharing with you a trip of a lifetime. Next up: Barb journeys to Bolivia in November 2011, and she looks forward to hosting a small group into Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe in February 2012. |
