In 1994, after 13 years in adventure travel, Denell Falk founded Civilized Adventures, continuing a close relationship with the Calgary Zoo, designing their natural-history based Zoofaris.  Her enthusiasm, experience and attention to detail continue to bring her success in designing special interest trips for both independent travellers and organizations, including the Calgary Zoo, and the Royal Astronomical Society, as well as for individuals. Drawing from many rich travel experiences, Denell is an astute critic of what’s worth adding to a trip. She has led many groups to Africa, Asia, the South Pacific, Europe, South and Central America and also to Antarctica.  Denell has been hosting groups for over 20 years, and in 2008 she will host a Civilized Adventure to Egypt and a safari to Namibia, Botswana & Zimbabwe.
