Gayleen Jorgensen and her husband, Greg Black, have travelled extensively to destinations ranging from pole to pole! They have explored Ecuador's Galapagos Islands and Amazon rainforest, the teeming grasslands of Kenya and Tanzania, and the varied ecosystems of Zimbabwe (including a classic canoe trip on the Zambezi), Namibia and South Africa, and the bustling streets of India to name a few. Avid birders, they have visited the rich ecosystem of the Everglades nine times! Gayleen has been a docent-educator with the Calgary Zoo for over a decade, and has been leading Zoofaris for many years, including trips to Peru & Ecuador, India, and Kenya & Tanzania and China. Both Gayleen and Greg are Calgary physicians by profession, and birders and photographers by leisure. Recently: Gayleen explored Brazil's Pantanal region in April 2011 and she hosted a Calgary Zoo Zoofari to Kenya & Tanzania in July 2011. Coming up: Gayleen hosts a small-group safari to Kenya in July 2012. We invite you to join her on this classic adventure. "It is refreshing to work with such a committed and dedicated host.
