After spending a few years at the University of Alberta in Kinesiology/Education, Kathy switched tracks: a year of travelling led her into the Travel Industry in 1987. Kathy brings 23 years of Management and Group Travel experience to Civilized Adventures and has booked large groups on exciting 'Round the World trips, and on Middle East, Asia, and Europe educational adventures.

Kathy has lived in Sydney, Australia and London, England and has travelled throughout Europe, S.E. Asia, and Central America. Still, there is much to see and a great fascination of all the glorious destinations means that many are still on her “bucket list”.

Recently: Kathy travelled with our Managing Director, Denell Falk, to the annual Indaba conference in Durban South Africa to meet with our suppliers and learn about new travel ideas. Kathy and Denell joined Lana Swanson on safari in Botswana and inspected several luxury tented camps. (Apr. 2011).

Next up: Kathy travels to South Africa in May 2012 to check out the safari experience in Kruger National Park, experience a luxury camp on the coast, and attend the Indaba Conference in Durban.
