Kevin Strange

Kevin Strange has worked in the fields of biology and natural history for the past 20 years. He was recently appointed Senior Advisor of Conservation Outreach at the Calgary Zoo after nearly a decade as Senior Manager of Conservation Education. Kevin is a veteran of natural history based expeditions to both eastern and southern Africa, and South America. He has also worked as a naturalist on wilderness-based ocean kayaking and sailing trips and in local prairie and mountain landscapes.

Kevin has appeared on local radio and television and from time to time on national broadcasts sharing his love of plants, animals and natural landscapes. Kevin has worked with post-secondary institutions, The World Conservation Union (IUCN), World Wildlife Fund Canada, Parks Canada, and recently, the United Nations, on environmental education projects. As a former high school biology teacher, Kevin thrives on introducing his fellow travellers to wildlife and wild places.
