Brief Itinerary
Day 1 - ARUSHA / LAKE MANYARA / NGORONGORO (L/D): Drive south to Lake Manyara National Park where you’ll stop for a picnic lunch as you safari in the park. Later we enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NGA) and continue climbing to the crater rim. Our base for the next two nights is at a private campsite inside the NGA.
Day 2 - NGORONGORO CRATER (B/L/D): We descend into the caldera itself to enjoy several hours on safari in this unique environment. At day’s end we return to camp.
Day 3 - NGORONGORO to SERENGETI (B/L/D): We break camp and go on a game drive into the vast Serengeti plains, stopping at Olduvai Gorge. (Optional extra: visit to a Maasai village; arranged locally with your guide, ~US$20-25).
Days 4 & 5 - SERENGETI (2B/2L/2D): Two full days for morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti. We’ll track the migration if possible, but also watch for resident species such as gazelle, impala, oryx, buffalo, giraffe, as well as lions, cheetah, and leopard.
Day 6 - SERENGETI to ARUSHA (B): You may drive back to Arusha or consider the option of flying back (cost listed in full itinerary).
