Brief Itinerary

Day 1 - ARRIVE BUENOS AIRES (D): Meet and greet by your guide and transfer to your hotel. Dinner (Las Nazarenas Restaurant) and overnight at your hotel.

Days 2 & 3 - BUENOS AIRES (2B, 1L, 1D): Half day city tour (historic buildings, great avenues, La Boca district, neighbourhoods like San Telmo and La Recoleta, the Sunday antique fair if applicable). Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and Tango Show tonight.
Next day: full day tour to Santa Susana Ranch, belonging to the Rossiter family since 1860 (or similar). Welcome drink with “emanadas” (meat pastries), a typical Argentine BBQ, folklore entertainment and a demonstration of gaucho skills are part of your day.

Days 4 & 5 - IGUAZU FALLS (2B, 1L): Fly to Iguazu. Afternoon tour to the Brazilian side of the UNESCO protected site: stunning views of the falls and Devil’s Throat (visa required). Day 5: full day tour of the Argentine side with lunch.

Days 6, 7 & 8 - EL CALAFATE (3B, 1L): Fly to El Calafate, in Argentinian Patagonia. Spend two full days touring, including lunch. Pathways offer views of Perito Moreno glacier (a 5km-wide river of ice and UNESCO site) on one day, and the glaciers of Upsala (including a catamaran trip on Argentino Lake through a barrier of icebergs), Onelli (with a forest walk) and Spegazzini.

Days 9 & 10 - USHUAIA (2B): Fly to the southernmost city in the world. Explore Tierra del Fuego National Park (views, unique forests, archaeological sites); cruise historic Beagle Channel shadowed by many seabirds including the mythical albatross, and watch for sea lions.

Day 11 - DEPART of EXTEND (B): Fly back to Buenos Aires where you can transfer to your flights home or extend your journey.

Options: Add nights in (1) Buenos Aires or (2)Iguazu & visit San Ignacio ruins; (3) Fly to Mendoza (lake district and wine country). (4) Extend to Chile from Ushuaia or Buenos Aires or (5) Cruise from Ushuaia to Punta Arenas in Chile past glaciers and fjords.
