Remember: this is a sample itinerary based on our recommended highlights for a trip of this length. We have years of experience sending people to Egypt and so should you have differing interests or more time we are ready and able to create your own tailored itinerary.

Brief Itinerary
Day 1 - ARRIVE CAIRO: Meet our representative upon arrival at the airport. Visa is available on arrival or in advance. Transfer to the hotel.
Days 2 - CAIRO (B, L, D): Afternoon tour with your guide/Egyptologist to the famous Egyptian Museum of Antiquities and the fascinating Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Special dinner tonight.
Days 3 through 9 - 7-NIGHT NILE CRUISE (7B, 7L, 7D): Fly to Luxor; transfer to your Dahabiyya in time for lunch, then see the sites of ancient Thebes starting at Karnak and Luxor Temples. On Day 4, tour the west bank of the Nile: the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.
Over the next five days, cruise the Nile to Aswan. Pass through the locks at Esna then sail to El Kab, one of Egypt’s oldest cities; explore the ruins by donkey. See Edfu and the Temple of Horus; enjoy an Egyptian BBQ dinner on an island; sail to Kom Ombo and visit the double sanctuary - one temple dedicated to Sobek, the other to Haroreris. Arrive in Aswan for the morning of Day 9. In Aswan, visit the Temple of Philae and take the rest of the day to explore on your own, returning to the ship for your last night on board.
Day 10 & 11 - CAIRO (2B): Fly to Cairo; optional Sound & Light Show at the pyramids can be arranged.
Day 11: Tour the Pyramids and the Great Sphinx. These are the only of the “Seven Wonders of the Ancient World” still standing today.
Day 12 - DEPART or EXTEND (B): Transfer to the Cairo International Airport.
