Mar. 2 & 3: Arrive Cairo late Mar. 3. (Sonesta Hotel, 1nt)
Mar. 4 - 6 — ASWAN: Tour the Egyptian Museum, followed by leisure time, then fly to Aswan. Visit a Nubian village by boat, as well as the Temple of Philae, High Dam, and Unfinished Obelisk. Evening tour of the Nubian Museum and a spice market.

Mar. 7 - 10 — LUXOR: Sail on a felucca; tour the Temples of Luxor and Karnak; the West Bank including the Valley of the Kings and Queens; the Tombs of the Nobles, plus a village visit and horse-drawn carriage ride.

Mar. 17 - 19 — PETRA & WADI RUM: Visit Mt. Nebo, where Moses reputedly saw the Promised Land. Tour the sites at Madaba and Um ar-Risas. Explore Petra with a professional guide and also with Marguerite van Geldermalsen, author of Married to a Bedouin. Enjoy dinner in her home.
