Brief Itinerary
July 31/Aug.1: Fly via London-Heathrow to Nairobi (option: stop in London).
Aug. 2 - NAIROBI: Arrive in the morning, visit Giraffe Manor, a craft market, and a bookstore. Welcome Dinner. (Norfolk Hotel, 1nt, 1D)
Aug. 3/4 - MOUNT KENYA: Drive north to Mt. Kenya; visit a Children’s Orphanage. Aug. 4 visit Jane Goodall’s Chimp’ Sanctuary and safari in the Sweetwaters Game Reserve. (Mt. Kenya Safari Club, 2nts, 2B, 2L, 2D)
Aug 5/6/7 - SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE: Stop at the Equator; drive to Samburu. 3 days on safari. Seek indigenous species - Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk - plus many more, including 300+ bird species. (Samburu Intrepids Tented Camp, 3nts, 3B, 3L, 3D)
Aug. 8/9/10/11 -- MASAI MARA: Fly to the famed Masai Mara National Reserve. Stay in the centre of the reserve allowing for maximum wildlife viewing plus opportunities to track the “great wildebeest migration” and the many resident species, from leopard to bat-eared fox. (Mara Intrepids Camp, 4 nts, 4B, 4L, 4D)
Aug. 12/13/14 -- LAMU ISLAND: Fly to the shores of the Indian Ocean for your 3-night stay in a private beachfront chalet. Relax and enjoy the sun, sand, and surf. (Kipungani Lamu, 3 nts, 3B, 3L, 3D)
Aug. 15/16 -- HOMEWARD BOUND: Fly to Nairobi, go into town for a special Farewell Dinner. Return to the airport and board your overnight flights home. (B, D)

Starting/Ending Nairobi:
