Sept. 11/12: Fly via London-Heathrow to Nairobi (option: stop in London).
Sept. 13 - NAIROBI: Arrive the morning of Sept. 13, visit Giraffe Manor, a craft market, and a bookstore. Welcome Dinner. (Norfolk Hotel, 1nt, 1D)
Sept. 14 - MOUNT KENYA: Drive north to Mt. Kenya. Visit Jane Goodall’s Chimp’ Sanctuary and safari in the Sweetwaters Game Reserve. (Mt. Kenya Safari Club, 1nt, 1B, 1L, 1D)
Sept. 15/16/17 - SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE: Visit a Children’s Orphanage and stop at the Equator before departing for Samburu. 3 days on safari. Seek indigenous species - Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk - plus many more, including 300+ bird species. (Samburu Intrepids Tented Camp, 3nts, 3B, 3L, 3D)
Sept. 18/19/20 - MASAI MARA: Fly to the Masai Mara for 3 days on safari. Track the migration and the resident species of the area. (Mara Intrepids Camp, 3nts, 3B, 3L, 3D)
Sept. 21 - ARUSHA: Fly via Nairobi to Kilimanjaro. Transfer to Arusha for a relaxing stop. (Mount Meru Game Lodge, 1nt, 1B, 1L, 1D)
Sept. 22/23 - TARANGIRE: Drive to Tarangire, considered by many to be one of Africa’s best kept secrets for wildlife and scenery. (Tarangire Sopa Lodge, 2nts, 2B, 2L, 2D)
Sept. 24/25 - NGORONGORO CRATER: Explore the world’s largest intact caldera, home to some 30,000 large mammals! (Plantation Lodge, 2nts, 2B, 2L, 2D)
Sept. 26 - ARUSHA: Visit a local village and continue to Arusha; relax before our Farewell Dinner. (Arusha Hotel, 1nt, 1B, 1L, 1D)
Sept. 27 & 28 - HOMEWARD: Embark on a morning tour; visit the LOHADA centre and perhaps do some last-minute shopping. Early dinner, then board your flights home. (1B, 1D)
