Sept. 21/22: Fly via London-Heathrow to Nairobi (option: stop in London).
Sept. 23 - NAIROBI: Arrive the morning of Sept. 23, visit Giraffe Manor, a craft market, and a bookstore. Welcome Dinner. (Norfolk Hotel, 1nt, 1D)
Sept. 24 - MOUNT KENYA: Drive north to Mt. Kenya. Visit Jane Goodall’s Chimp’ Sanctuary and safari in the Sweetwaters Game Reserve. (Mt. Kenya Safari Club, 1nt, 1B, 1L, 1D)
Sept. 25/26/27 - SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE: Visit a Children’s Orphanage and stop at the Equator before depating for Samburu. 3 days on safari. Seek indigenous species - Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk - plus many more, including 300+ bird species. (Samburu Intrepids Tented Camp, 3nts, 3B, 3L, 3D)
Sept. 28/29/30 - MASAI MARA: Fly to the Masai Mara. 3 days on safari. Track the migration and the resident species of the area. (Mara Intrepids Camp, 3nts, 3B, 3L, 3D)
Oct. 1 - ARUSHA: Fly via Nairobi to Kilimanjaro; short drive to our lodge with views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru. (Serena Mountain Village, 1nt, 1B, 1L, 1D)
Oct. 2/3 - NGORONGORO CRATER: Explore the world’s largest intact caldera, home to some 30,000 large mammals! (Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, 2nts, 2B, 2L, 2D)
Oct. 4 - ARUSHA: Visit a village then return to Arusha; relax before our Farewell Dinner. (Arusha Hotel, 1nt, 1B, 1L, 1D)
Oct. 5/6 - HOMEWARD: Embark on a morning tour; visit the LOHADA centre and perhaps do some last-minute shopping, have dinner, then transfer to the airport to board your flights home. (1B, 1D)
