Feb. 2 & 3 - MOUNT KENYA: Drive to Mt. Kenya; stop at a Children’s Orphanage and the Equator. Feb. 3 visit Jane Goodall’s Chimp’ Sanctuary and safari in the Sweetwaters Game Reserve. (Mt. Kenya Safari Club, 2nts, 2B, 2L, 2D)
Feb. 4/5/6 - SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE: 3 days on safari. Seek indigenous species of the area - Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk - plus many more, including 300+ bird species. Village visit. (Samburu Intrepids Tented Camp, 3nts, 3B, 3L, 3D)
Feb. 7 & 8 - LAKE MANYARA: Fly to Lake Manyara and our lodge. Feb. 8: AM game drive in Manyara National Park; PM village visit. (E Unoto Retreat, 2nts, 2B, 2L, 2D)
Feb. 9 & 10 - NGORONGORO CRATER: Explore the world’s largest intact caldera, home to 30,000 large mammals! Option: hike the rim of Olmoti Crater - stunning views.(Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, 2nts, 2B, 2L, 2D)
Feb. 11/12/13- SERENGETI: Drive via Olduvai Gorge to Ndutu, on the edge of Serengeti National Park. 3 days of safari excursions. (Ndutu Lodge, 3nts, 3B, 3L, 3D)
Feb. 14 - SERENGETI: Today’s safari drive ends at our lodge in the southern Serengeti. (Serengeti Sopa Lodge, 1nt, 1B, 1L, 1D)
Feb. 15/16: Optional hot-air ballooning. Fly to Kilimanjaro then Nairobi for dinner. Overnight flights reach home Feb. 16. (1B, 1D)
