Brief Itinerary
July 9/10 - to AFRICA. Two overnight flights take you via London into Nairobi and on to Arusha, Tanzania. (Option: depart early and stop in London)
July 11/12 - ARUSHA. Arrive into Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to nearby Arusha Hotel. On July 12 visit the LOHADA centre. Relax and enjoy a Welcome Dinner. (Arusha Hotel, 2 nts, B, D)
July 13/14/15 - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK. Drive south and begin your safari with an afternoon game drive in Tarangire - known for its baobab trees and its elephant herds! 3 full days on safari with morning and afternoon activities. (Tarangire Sopa Lodge, 3 nts, 3B, 3L, 3D)
July 16/17 - NGORONGORO CRATER. Drive past Lake Manyara and up the escarpment to the vast Crater. Spend an afternoon and all of July 17 on safari in this unique region. (Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, 2 nts, 2B, 2L, 2D)
JULY 18/19/20/21 - SERENGETI NATONAL PARK. Drive via Olduvai Gorge to the Serengeti grasslands. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. Seek resident wildlife as well as the amazing migration of millions of animals on the move through the region. Optional hot-air balloon ride possible. (Serengeti Sopa Lodge, 4 nts, 4B, 4L, 4D)
JULY 22/23/24/25 - ZANZIBAR. Fly from the Serengeti to Arusha and on to Zanzibar, the fabled Spice Island in the Indian Ocean. Enjoy 3 full days of R’n’R on this tropical island, including a tour of historic Stone Town. (Mtoni Marine Hotel, 4 nts, 4B, 4D)
