Join the ranks of fabled explorers on this journey of discovery. See China’s greatest landmarks, including Beijing’s sprawling Forbidden City and the impressive Great Wall. In Xi’an, gaze in awe upon the terra-cotta army of the Emperor Xin, the same man who built the Great Wall that you strode upon only days before. Absorb the feat of the army’s creation and its mystery: thousands of life-size warriors, each face unique, bearing arms to protect their ruler were buried, unseen by human eyes, until the mid-1970s.

Fly to Tibet, the “roof of the world” to explore the holy city of Lhasa, once the seat of the revered Dalai Lama. End your journey in one of the most vibrant cities on the planet: Shanghai. Cruise the river that divides old and new; explore the canals of the ancient watertown, Zhujiajiao.

What makes our trip different? You’ll enjoy the special attention of our national guide who, along with your experienced trip host, escorts the group through China. This team, including professional local guides, will work to make your trip the best it can be! Plus, all group meals are superior to those of standard tours. We include fun and unusual activities, from exploring Beijing’s ancient alleys by rickshaw to visiting a local home in Tibetan Lhasa and attending exciting and spectacular acrobatic shows. Join us and experience China and its contrasts.
