Brief Itinerary
Sept. 14/15 — to AFRICA: Overnight flights take you via London to Nairobi, Kenya.
Sept. 16 & 17 — NAIROBI: Orientation tour, visit an animal orphanage and craft shops. Welcome Dinner. (Sarova Panafric, 2nts, 1B, 2D)
Sept. 18, 19, 20 & 21 — MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE: Drive to the northeast area of the Masai Mara. Search for resident species including lion & cheetah. Visit a local Maasai village.

Sept. 22 — ARUSHA: Drive back to Nairobi, then fly to Tanzania. (Arumeru River Lodge, 1nt, 1B, 1L, 1D)
Sept. 23, 24 & 25 — NGORONGORO CRATER: Drive to Karatu and spend the next two full days exploring the world’s largest intact caldera, home to some 30,000 large mammals!

Sept. 26, 27 & 28 — SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK: Drive into the park to explore the plains where scenic kopjes (rocky outcrops) dot the horizon. Consider optional hot air ballooning (~US$499 booked in advance). (Serengeti Sopa Lodge, 3nts, 3B, 3L, 3D)
Sept. 29/30 - KILIMANJARO & HOMEWARD: Fly to Kilimanjaro and onwards to Nairobi. Stop for a Farewell Dinner then return to the airport to board international flights home. (1B, 1L, 1D)
