Brief Itinerary
*July 1 - ST. JOHN’S (NFLD): We recommend that you arrive on July 1. We offer a 1 night pre-cruise program including 1 night at the Sheraton, a welcome reception, an afternoon city tour on July 2 and transfers to the ship on July 2.
July 2 - ST. JOHN’S: Board the Ioffe at 4pm; set sail. (Akademik Ioffe, 9 nts, full board)
July 3 - Witless Bay (NFLD): Zodiac cruises to see colonies of puffins; humpback whales. Cruise the Avalon Peninsula.
July 4 - Ramea (NFLD): Visit the fishing community of Ramea; tour the village and enjoy some local music.
July 5 - Gros Morne National Park (NFLD): Explore this UNESCO-protected park and visit the town of Woody Point.
July 6 - St. Lawrence River (QC): Explore the south coast of Anticosti Island: grey seals, large concentration of bald eagles.
July 7 - Gaspé (QC): Zodiac excursions at Percé Rock plus Ile Bonaventure with one of the largest northern gannet colonies in North America.
July 8 - Isles de la Madeleine (QC): Experience a unique fishing culture: beautiful villages, scenic shoreline of beaches, lagoons and a wide diversity of bird life.
July 9 - Louisbourg (NS): Cape Breton’s fortress of Louisbourg predates Celtic culture in Cape Breton. See life as it was in the 1740s’.
July 10 - St. Pierre et Miquelon (France): Visit this French outpost; experience a slice of Europe. Zodiac cruise to a puffin rookery.
July 11 - ST. JOHN’S (NFLD): Disembark before noon.
