Located in Tanzania, at 5 895 meters tall, Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest mountain. Even from the base, the permanent snow and ice covered peaks can be seen. Mount Kenya, at a height of 5199 meters, is Africa’s second tallest mountain.
There are multiple routes to the top that vary in length and difficulty. Some routes can be hiked all the way to the top, while others can only be performed by trained climbers. Even on hiking routes, travelers should be ready to have their strength and will tested. The guides we use are some of the best and have a higher than average success rate of reaching the top.
When planning our routes we attempt to take the road less traveled and get away from any crowds. Trips vary in length but are generally 8 days long. All food and equipment is provided on the mountain, and the majority of supplies will be portered to the top for you. Tents and food will be prepared for you and all travelers are given detailed safety instructions before and during the climb.
