Heart of Cambodia

Heart of Cambodia
(13 days)

Tour Overview

Open to visitors after years of civil war, Cambodia offers the adventurous traveller a real insight into this spectacular country. In the south we take boats along amazing pre-Angkorian canals, journey deep into the countryside by 'Remorques' and spend a day on Rabbit Island enjoying the beaches and warm seas. We visit the north where we may have the opportunity to see rare river dolphins and enjoy sunset views.

The major highlight of this cultural break is the magnificent Khmer temple complex of Angkor. We spend several days exploring this stunning and extensive site which sprawls through the dense jungle, over an area of 155 square kilometres. The intricately carved temples mostly date back to the 11th, 12th and 13th Centuries, although some are even older. Time is also spent in the colonial capital city, Phnom Penh that acts as the gateway for this exciting Cambodia adventure.
